A reintepretation of Ruby Bridge’s first day at William Frantz Elementary, where she was accompanied by U.S. Marshals, as the protests of white parents and officials threatened her safety. From Ruby’s account, she spent most of her first day in the principal’s office and parents rushed in to remove 500 children from classes that day.
